Fall has arrived. And when the seasons change, so does the recipe rotation. When the days get shorter and colder we all need some comfort food. For me that means warm ooey gooey cheesy Baked Macaroni and Cheese.
When the days get shorter and the temperatures start to fall I get in soup making mode. There’s nothing like a hot bowl of soup with some warm fresh bread on a cold day. So today I’m making French Onion and Leek Soup. I save the leftover bones from a beef roast or the carcass of a chicken or turkey to make soup or stock. If I don’t feel like making some right away, I seal them up in freezer bags and toss them in the freezer for another day.
