If you love cheese like I do, you need to visit The Dover Cheese Shop. It’s located in beautiful downtown Port Dover, Ontario on Main Street. They have an excellent assortment of local, regional and international cheeses.
I managed to control myself and only bought 3 kinds.
I picked Saint Agur which is a French blue cheese. I could eat this with a spoon!
Then I got some Gruyere for a recipe I was making and some old cheddar for the boring people.
Jenny, the owner is super friendly and a strong supporter of the local community and small business owners like herself. She wasn’t there the day I stopped in but the staff working that day were really knowledgeable and helpful!
They make gift baskets and cheese trays and you can order online directly from their website. AND you can request delivery so you don’t even have to get up off the couch!
In addition to cheese, they also sell accessories such as knives, cheese boards etc. And they carry fresh olive oils and balsamics too.
